It's Home time!

The next three games sees us play three games at Llandarcy Park in what will be a vital period in our season. We take in visits from Caernarfon, Newtown (S4C main game) and Haverfordwest.Let's hope we can make Llandarcy a fortress over the coming weeks.

An unbelievable game at Stebonheath that provided the Neath faithful with a rollercoaster experience - we took the lead and were then 3-1 down only to claw back a point in spectacular fashion. Full report to follow in Team Performance.

Pitch Inspection at 2.00 PM in Llangefni - it ain't looking good! Game is OFF after a re-inspection at 5 PM by referee Kevin Parry and has been provisionally re-arranged for 29.3.08, pending Llangefni's run in the Welsh Cup, as this is Semi-Final day.

Neath's Bevan called-up to Wales Semi-Pro Side
The club would like to extend our congratulations to our young defender Lee Bevan who was yesterday called into the Under 23 Semi Pro side for their forthcoming fixture against Italy. It is a great honour and one that we are extremely proud of. Good luck in Italy Lee and try not to do anything dull!

The Eagles trip to TNS ends in defeat by 3 goals to 1. It was a great experience for the club to be able to pit our wits against Wales' top club and I think that our performance earned respect from our hosts who gave us a great reception and were very complimentary after the game.Park Hall is a fantastic facility and the artificial surface is conducive to playing football which both teams tried to do in a very entertaining match.Full Match Report in Team Performance.

On Saturday against Airbus we will participate in a national campaign to kick racism out of football. Both teams will wear anti racism t shirts and announcements will be made to discourage racism from Welsh Football grounds. Both teams will display red cards before the game in a show of solidarity for the campaign. Neath Ath will not tolerate racism and fully supports this initiative.

Murder Mystery Night a Success!
The night at the Cimla Court on 1st September was a great success and well supported. A big thank you to Mr David Semmens for organising it and making it a brilliant night out!

We pay the penalty at Connah's Quay!
It was a tale of two penalties at the Deeside Stadium - we missed one and they scored one. We are desperately disappointed to come away with nothing from this game and it is a lesson we must learn- a point on the road is always well earned. Full report in Team Performance.

The club is proud to announce that its brand new academy is now up and running at Under 12,14 and 16 level in conjunction with Swansea City's Development Centre. HILL MAKES HISTORY!
Skipper Andrew Hill scored Neath Athletic's first ever Welsh Premier goal against Porthmadog to write his name into the History books. In what turned out to be a dream start for the club Hill added a second goal in the second half to ensure a pleasing victory against Clayton Blackmore's team. Full Match Report in Team Performance.

A rude awakening to life in the top flight in a vibrant encounter away at our near neighbours. Each side had a man sent off and numerous others booked, in a competitive match, overseen by fussy officials.

THE BIG KICK OFF!
Our bow in the Principality Welsh Premier is about to take place on Saturday against Port Talbot in the Loosemoore's Challenge Cup at Victoria Road, KO at 2.30.It will be a massive occasion for us as a club and sees the Pennock versus Pennock rivalary begin.
Manager Andrew Dyer spoke to the website today and commented'I cannot wait to get started after a busy pre season it will be interesting to get things going at the top level of Welsh Football.It is an historic day for the club and everyone is naturally excited as well as being a little apprehensive. It is going to be a long season but one which we are looking forward to with eager anticipation'.
