The club would like to congratulate Lee on being chosen for the standby squad for the forthcoming Wales Semi Professional matches aginst England, Scotland and Gibraltar in Rhyl. A great honour for our young centre half (who has just signed a new contract!)

Skipper joined by two more!

 

Following the news that six players including skipper and top goalscorer Andrew Hill had extended their contracts for next year, manager Andrew Dyer had tied up both Jarrod Price and Dale Evans for next season also as he looks to settle the squad early in readiness for our second season. With the Welsh League not due to finish for a couple of weeks it will give us a chance to go out and assess players who might be of interest to the club.

HILLO ON BOARD FOR NEXT YEAR!

 

Skipper Andrew Hill has re-newed his contract for next season along with the outstanding Stephen Pockett, young starlets Lee Bevan and Matthew Rees, supporters Player of the Year Sean Cronin and Robert Folland who missed much of the latter part of the season through injury but was outstanding in the early part of our first season.

We capped a brilliant season by retaining the West Wales Cup at Stebonheath against a young home side that still managed to field three players with over 500 Football League appearances between them in Matthew Jones, Andrew Legg and Paul Wanless. A great result with goals from Stephen Pockett and Chris Pridham.

We are concerned that Rhyd the Eagle appears to have disappeared and has not been seen for four games! We believe he might be suffering from an aftershock effect of Cardiff City reaching the FA Cup Final. On Saturday against Airbus we will participate in a national campaign to kick racism out of football. Both teams will wear anti racism t shirts and announcements will be made to discourage racism from Welsh Football grounds. Murder Mystery Night a Success!

 

The night at the Cimla Court on 1st September was a great success and well supported. A big thank you to Mr David Semmens for organising it and making it a brilliant night out!

The club is proud to announce that its brand new academy is now up and running at Under 12,14 and 16 level in conjunction with Swansea City's Development Centre. Skipper Andrew Hill scored Neath Athletic's first ever Welsh Premier goal against Porthmadog to write his name into the History books. THE BIG KICK OFF!

Our bow in the Principality Welsh Premier is about to take place on Saturday against Port Talbot in the Loosemoore's Challenge Cup at Victoria Road, KO at 2.30.It will be a massive occasion for us as a club and sees the Pennock versus Pennock rivalary begin.

Manager Andrew Dyer spoke to the website today and commented'I cannot wait to get started after a busy pre season it will be interesting to get things going at the top level of Welsh Football.It is an historic day for the club and everyone is naturally excited as well as being a little apprehensive. It is going to be a long season but one which we are looking forward to with eager anticipation'.
